Inner City Tennis Clinics
AMOUNT RAISED AS OF NOVEMBER 30 - $6,490
Inner City Tennis Clinics’ (ICTC) mission is to “provide Cleveland’s youth with tennis, health, fitness, literacy and creative expression programs to promote hope, healthy living and productive futures.” ICTC focuses on at-risk youth, giving them the opportunity to develop their talents on the tennis court and in the classroom. Tennis is the catalyst that keeps kids returning, and since its inception in 2010, ICTC has served over 1,000 kids with its free program.
During the summer months ICTC offers a camp to boys and girls ages 6-18 for eight weeks in June and July. ICTC students also receive health and wellness education and participate in various fitness tests and activities. The focus on Literacy remains a key component of the program, culminating in the popular Poetry Slam Battle at the end of camp.
ICTC is hoping to again offer the free summer program in 2016, and all funds donated will be used to support this important program.
