Apply for MY Gift to Kids Tennis Initiative - Raise Money for Your Junior Program

The Midwest Youth Tennis & Education Foundation (MYTEF) is conducting its MY Gift to Kids Tennis initiative in an effort to raise awareness and support for local youth tennis programs. The 2014 initiative raised a record $28,443, and benefited youth tennis programs across the USTA/Midwest Section. Organizations located in the USTA/Midwest Section may apply to be considered for participation in the 2015 MY Gift to Kids Tennis initiative. The deadline to submit an application is August 15, and organizations may either complete the application online or complete an electronic version of the application. ATP Tennis Player and Former MYTEF Grant Recipient Rajeev Ram Wins Second Singles Title

Congratulations to professional tennis player Rajeev Ram who won his second ATP World Tour singles title this past weekend at the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships in Newport, R.I. He beat No. 1 seed John Isner and No. 5 seed Adrian Mannarino to get to the final, where he defeated No. 2 seed Ivo Karlovic 7-6(5), 5-7, 7-6(2), to win the title. Rajeev will have a top-100 singles ranking again after his big win. His second singles title comes just a few weeks after he won his eighth ATP World Tour doubles title at the Gerry Weber Open in Halle, Germany. In Memoriam - Anne Krupp

We are sad to learn of the passing of long-time USTA/Midwest volunteer Anne Krupp.  She was a passionate tennis fan and advocate, working as a teaching professional, while putting much of her energy into working with Special Olympics and Adaptive Tennis programs.  Anne was a USTA/Midwest volunteer for 19 years serving in various capacities, and most recently served on the Adaptive Tennis Sub-Committee. Anne, age 73, of Fostoria, Ohio, died Monday, July 6, at Bridge Hospice Center in Findlay, Ohio.
